2020 EU PRO Art Competition “My European Community” Opened
The competition is traditionally organised for the thirteenth time, with the aim of encouraging creativity and activism of young people from local self-governments covered by the Programme, and to reward talented students and schools that support artistic creativity among the young people.
This year theme should prompt high school students to identify the population groups who are in some way neglected or socially excluded in their communities, or need assistance, and then to come up with and creatively present ideas how to support them, and thus enhance their position as equal members of the community. In addition, students can present examples of good social inclusion practices already implemented in their communities.
The best art works, to be selected by a jury, will be published on the pages of the 2020 EU PRO Calendar, while their authors will be awarded laptops and tablets, as well as mobile phones. Through the competition, the Programme also invites schools to organise their internal contests where they will select art works for participation in the competition, and the school which invests most efforts in the organisation will be awarded a laptop and a projector.
The Competition is open until 15 November 2019, while the award ceremony and the promotion of the Calendar will be held in December. The detailed information about the Art Competition is available at the following link of the EU PRO website: 2020 EU PRO Calendar Contest Propositions.
